Today i finished my markbook! fixed a few problems with the macros (because they were'nt working, turns out i had the wrong code)
Just thought i should post about that. :)

Individual Project - 04.06.09

Today in IPT, i worked more on my markbook.
I began to work more specifically on the "instruction" page.
i also added parts of the "template", so it now has 'total marks', 'final grade' and 'average' sections.

Individual Project - Requirements Report

Purpose.
The purpose of this Teacher's Markbook is for teachers to be able to calculate students' marks, grades and more.
The Teachers should be able to use a less time-consuming electronic device that helps to assess and create their students' marks, grades, averages and more, by entering the students' names and marks.

Information Processes.
Collecting- The markbook collects the data that is entered by the teachers, so names and marks. Organising- The data that is entered by the teachers can be sorted/organised into different ranks or orders.
Analysing- The data that is entered would have to be analysed so it can be sorted into different groups or so that it can be assessed.
Storing & Retrieving- The information that is on the markbook would have to be stored for furthur reference and access.
Displaying- The information is displayed on the markbook.

Individual Project - 27.05.09

Today, i was at home sick, so i worked on my markbook.
I created a 'homepage' and added two buttons for creating a new sheet and instructions on how to use this markbook.
I also created a template for the new sheet. I included things such as, first name, surname, subject, class, rank, assessment no., marked out of, etc.

I encountered a problem after i entered the first macro. Because i use Microsoft Excel 2007, something went wrong and it wouldnt open up the macro. I later found out that i had to 'enable macros'.

Individual Project - 25.05.09

Today we recieved the assessment notice for our Teachers Markbook.

As a class, we have had to do some background research on markbooks, so we know what they are are what they do, etc.

Aakriti and i did some research on Teachers Motorised Markbooks. It can do easy calculations for student assessment tasks and heaps more. An example of a motoroised markbook can be found on the Board of Studies website.

Another markbook we found was called Teachers Personal Markbook, or TPM for short.
"A TPM is a gradebook program for scaling results and grading students. With it you can:
- Grade students
- Scale scores
- Print graphs of student progress
- Prepare for your reports
- Use it as an electronic gradebook"
