processors.

today we are learning about processors. the CPU is the main processing unit.
we started talking about core 2 duo and quad cores. both of which are intel processors.
we also started talking about 32- and 64- bit sizes, which are the unit for instruction size.
a good graphics card has to have good RAM.


now we are looking at graphics cards/processors.
NVIDIA is a big company on making these types of thing.

now we are looking at software procsseing, and we are looking at adobe premiere.
its like final cut pro for macs.
also video and sound and graphics processing.

another processor is a bit like the speech to text kind of software.

GROUP TASK - REQUIREMENTS REPORT.

hello.
this is the requirements report for the group consisteing of Emily, Aakriti and Marjorie.

USER/PARTICIPANTS NEEDS.
The user/participants require an information system that has points on tennis. They want to be able to find out about the history of tennis, how to play tennis, the key players of tennis, pretty much everything about tennis.

DATA INPUTS.
The data inputs of this information system are video, sound, text, images.
Video will be used to show the users/participants how to play tennis.
Sound will be used in the videos and may perhaps be background audioon the webpages.
Text will be used as the information on each of the webpages.
Images will be used to show examples of certain moves, (on how to play tennis) and to explain different concepts, such as the history of tennis and how to play tennis.

INFORMATION PROCESSES PERFORMED.
Collecting - This information system collects information electronically. The information being collected is the videos, images, information used on site,

Organising - The data placed in the information system is organised into different pages and then under different headings.

Analysing - The information that was collected previously, is now analysed in this part of the information proccess. e.g Formulating the ranking system and the ranks

Storing & Retrieving - Information that will be used for this information system is retrieved from a variety of different websites in the collecting process. It is then stored and organised in different places in the website.

Transmitting & Receiving - No form of this in our information system is used.

Processing - The information that is collected and organised (in previous processes) are then processed so that only certain data is inputted into the website for the general public to view.

Displaying - The information gathered and processed is displayed in website form. The harware used is Computer monitor. The software used is Microsoft Frontpage.

INFORMATION OUTPUTS FROM THE SYSTEM.
The information outputs of the system are:
- videos: how to play tennis video (how to do the different types of shots)

- text: All the information gathered placed in comprehendable language so that not only the creators can interpret and understand the information, but also the participants can understand it.

- images: diagrams to make things easier to understand, pictures to make the website more appealing and photos of key players so that the participants know who is who.

- sound: This is an aspect shown in the video so that the participants can understand the tutorial video more.

Today i finished my markbook! fixed a few problems with the macros (because they were'nt working, turns out i had the wrong code)
